SNEX er verkefni um staðbundin óveður við fjöll á
Snæfellsnesi.  Verkefnið byggir einkum á vindmælingum
sem hófust sumarið 1999.

SNEX - The SNaefellsnes EXperiment is being set up
to investigate local orographic windstorms, in particular
above the lee slopes of mountains.  The first phase consists
of installing several automatic weather stations on both sides
of the Snaefellsnes peninsula to collect data on the 
famous Snaefellsnes windstorms
